1. Who we are
Forge Fitness Supply (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent retailer of home and studio fitness equipment. Our showroom and warehouse are located at 4820 Keystone Industrial Parkway, Suite 210, Columbus, OH 43228, United States. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
You can reach us about any privacy question at support.forgefitness@gmail.com or by phone at +1 (614) 555-0182 during business hours (Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00 ET, Saturday 10:00–16:00 ET).
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to answer a question, quote or fulfil an order. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not sell personal information.
| Category | What it includes | How it reaches us |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, email address, phone number (optional if you provide it) | Advice request form, newsletter form, phone or email |
| Order details | Items requested, delivery zip code, delivery and assembly preferences, order notes | Equipment list request, email, phone |
| Billing details | Payment confirmation and billing address processed by our payment provider | Checkout with our payment processor |
| Technical data | Browser type, device type, approximate region, pages viewed, referring page | Server logs and, with consent, analytics cookies |
| Preferences | Cookie consent choice, saved equipment list in your browser | Stored locally in your browser (local storage) |
Please do not send sensitive information — such as medical records, government identification numbers or payment card numbers — through the contact form. Full card numbers are never requested or stored by this website.
3. How we use information
- To answer requests. We use your name, email and message to prepare a reply, quotation or equipment plan.
- To fulfil orders. We share the delivery details necessary for a carrier to schedule and complete delivery.
- To provide support and honour warranties. We keep order and parts records so we can identify your model and coverage.
- To improve the site. With your consent, aggregated analytics help us see which pages and products are useful and which are not.
- To send newsletters. Only if you subscribe. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To meet legal obligations. Tax, accounting and consumer-protection record keeping, and responding to lawful requests.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising on this site.
4. Cookies and consent
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. We also use local storage, which works similarly but stays in your browser until cleared. Cookies on this site fall into two groups.
| Cookie / storage | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ffs_cookie_consent |
Essential | Remembers whether you accepted all cookies or essential only, so the banner does not reappear on every page. | Until cleared (local storage) |
ffs_equipment_list |
Essential | Keeps the equipment list you build on this site available if you reload the page. | Until cleared (local storage) |
| Session cookie | Essential | Maintains your session on secure pages such as checkout and support forms. | Session |
| Analytics cookies | Optional | Aggregated page-view statistics that help us improve product information and site navigation. Set only after you choose “Accept all”. | Up to 13 months |
Essential cookies are required for the site to work and are set without consent as permitted by law. Optional analytics cookies are blocked until you accept them.
Managing your choice. You can change or withdraw consent at any time by selecting in the footer of any page, or by clearing cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent stops optional analytics from loading on your next visit. Your browser may also let you block cookies entirely; essential features such as the equipment list will not work in that case.
Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting it, this site responds to your consent choice recorded in the banner rather than to browser-level signals.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to perform a task for us, and only to the extent required:
- Freight and parcel carriers — name, address, phone and order details needed to schedule and deliver equipment.
- Payment processor — to authorize and settle payment securely. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Email and hosting providers — to operate the site and deliver transactional email and, if you subscribed, newsletters.
- Assembly partners — name, address and product details, only when you purchase assembly.
- Professional and legal advisers — where necessary to comply with the law, enforce our terms or resolve a dispute.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks for cross-site profiling. If we ever propose a use of data that materially differs from this policy, we will ask for consent first.
6. Retention periods
- Advice requests and quotes that do not become orders: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Order, invoice and warranty records: up to 7 years after the transaction, as required for tax and warranty administration.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again.
- Server logs: up to 12 months.
- Cookie preference and equipment list: stored in your browser until you clear it or withdraw consent.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete information we no longer need for a legal or contractual purpose.
- Portability — receive certain information in a machine-readable format.
- Opt out — of marketing email at any time, and of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither).
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny service or change prices because you exercised a privacy right.
- Authorized agent — you may use an agent to submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
To exercise a right, email support.forgefitness@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. We verify requests by matching the email address on file, and we respond within 45 days (extendable once where the law allows). There is no charge for reasonable requests.
8. Security
We use HTTPS across the site, restrict staff access to order data on a need-to-know basis, and keep payment handling with a PCI-compliant processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security; we do commit to notifying affected individuals and regulators where a breach legally requires it.
9. Children’s privacy
This site sells equipment intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least annually. When we make a material change, we update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how we use existing information, notify subscribers by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
